Here is another recipe from yesterday’s dinner with our friends this too was a huge hit. This recipe is rich, luscious and creamy it certainly will go down as one of my favorite peach recipes. I did add a dusting of brown sugar cinnamon buttery crumble to the top.  “Emily Can Cook” does not disappoint with this recipe. I’m thinking this might replace the Peach Cobbler for Thanksgiving.

I tried taking a quality photo yesterday of my dish, but my photo was not worthy of this fabulous recipe it just didn’t do this recipe justice in the same way Emily’s does, so I’m sharing her photo so you can visualize and taste all the goodness in this peach cake.

Peach Cream Cake with Vanilla Sauce

Peaches and Cream Cake w/Warm Vanilla Sauce

Cake:
1 1/2 cups flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 T cornstarch
1 t vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup milk
6 T butter, melted
Peaches and Cream Cheese Layer:
29 oz. sliced peaches
2 pkgs (16 oz.) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup sugar
6 T reserved peach juice
cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling
Warm Vanilla Sauce
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 t vanilla extract
