One of the most emotional moments — and possibly the longest standing ovation of the speech — came when Trump praised Carryn Owens, the widow of Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens who died in a raid in Yemen.
As Owens, visibly crying, held her hands together and looked up to the sky while mouthing “thank you.” “Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero, battling against terrorism and securing our nation,” Trump said.
